Depends on #1 fresh clone issues to be resolved, otherwise, the proposed PR design (#18) will cause probably issues. Reusing objects from the existing repo is not super well working for unknown reasons (cannot push the result to the JGit server).

Moving to packfile/bundle URI to kickstart the first clone should cause reading from some buffers/memory and letting the fetch operation fast forward the rest which should be fast enough.
