there are currently various pads strewn over the pad instance that are public for gathering feedback from beta members, but we would like to probably make private or move to the wiki

we have set all of the "freely" pads to "editable" permission: still publicly visible if they were previously publicly editable, but not editable except by core team members. these can be reconsidered on a case by case basis.
