https://github.com/capnproto/capnproto/pull/2369/ fixes a bug in capnp fd passing. we should not release a new version without pulling those patches into the lix-local capnp packaging or otherwise upgrading to a capnp release that has this fix. we've seen things break due to this bug and as rpc progresses will be more likely to see it again.
