keep-failed is jank since it leaves the outputs in a temp directory somewhere and just logs where it is to the build output. It would be sweet if there was an actually structured interface to this.

Of course, this likely requires protocol improvements to actually send this to the client, but is nonetheless a use case that is underserved.
