We do this cute thing at work where we put the docs for something in the docs directory and then put a symlink to it in the folder of the thing being documented. This means that it's easy to discover in both places.

This will / should probably warrnet a full rewrite of the testing.md as it contains a lot of outdated informatin and no mention at all of the functional2 test suite. (and still refers to functional-lang and things)
